His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, at New Birth.

"Although his transition leaves a void for those of us who loved him dearly, we can celebrate and be happy for him, knowing he's at peace", Eddie's wife, Vanessa Long said in a statement.

Bishop Eddie Long, the man behind one of the biggest churches in the country, died over the weekend following a short battle with cancer.

"I've been on a journey and just recalibrating myself and like I said, I had some health issues and God has healed me". There, he's credited for growing the 300-plus congregation, or to put it in Biblical terms "where two's and three's were gathered" to some 25,000 making it one of the nation's largest megachurches.

Meanwhile, the four men - Jamal Parris, Spencer LeGrande, Maurice Robinson, and Anthony Flagg - who accused Long of sexual coercion announced Monday that they are planning to publish a book recounting how the pastor impacted their lives.

The men are still looking for a publisher for the book.

"We're all brothers in this", LeGrande said.

"Bishop Long's ministry, although, it did a lot of good - let me be very clear when I say that there were a lot of moments of positive ministry moments where lives were changed in terms of social-economic standing - but the way in which that ministry took place was an emphasis on personal piety, holiness and not much the prophetic witness against injustices in the broader society". "Our perspectives will be addressed in our book, Foursaken, which we hope to release soon".

"Long was a Christian author, a gospel singer and was also known for preaching and practicing a "prosperity gospel" in which the faithful would be rewarded with wealth".

In 2011, Long was initially charged with sexual misconduct after Robinson, Flagg, Jamal Parris and Spencer LeGrande revealed that they were abused by the church leader.
