Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Gets a Permanent Price Cut in India

Xiaomi Vice President and Xiaomi India's Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain also confirmed the new development tweeting, "BIG now costs less! Announcing a permanent price drop of Rs 1000 on both variants of #MiMax2".

To recall, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes with a 6.44 inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Inside, buyers will get a tried and tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with an octa-core setup and an Adreno 506 GPU. The handset packs a 5300mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with MIUI 8.0. Likely, the Mi Max 2 64 GB variant will now cost Rs 15,999 which earlier came at Rs 16,999. The Beijing-based company had claimed that it sold over a million devices through its online store in the country. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 competes against the Motorola Moto G5 and G5 Plus and Samsung J series of smartphones. In India, Xiaomi launched two variants of the Mi Max 2. The phone features 3.5mm audio jack and stereo speakers for an immersive experience. It includes an internal storage of 64GB and can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

In the camera department, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 sports a 12 MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The phone features a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide angle lens for selfies.

In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 supports dual-SIM dual standby using the hybrid dual-SIM slot (Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM/microSD).
