Iniesta denies claims Coutinho will push him out of the club

Liverpool manager Klopp insists Liverpool have their 'eyes open' as they look to sign a replacement for Coutinho in January. It's a pretty easy answer.

Leicester are currently 8th in the table and would not like to lose their prized asset in the middle of the season. But we tried everything [to keep Coutinho]. The club tried everything to convince Phil to stay here and carry on going the way together with us.

"I was at a big club previously and being at big one now, you know you are always going to have to perform under pressure". "It was not that we had a talk and he said my head is somewhere else, it was just clear after we spoke that it would not work out. I knew there would be that process". That's a decision I have to make; does it make sense, do I think we can use him, can he help us? And who can blame him. And to be honest, it was 100 per cent clear, no chance. "We made that decision". That is it. There was no other option. It's business as usual. We need to defend well and attack like we know we can. The 33-year-old is reaching the end of his playing career and Coutinho is seen as his successor by many.

Coutinho's exit continued a damaging theme for Liverpool of losing key talents at their peak but Klopp insists he has sufficient talent at his disposal to compensate for the Brazil international's exit.

While Mahrez doesn't seem to be Klopp's priority, the price tag is putting him off Lemar. "Gini Wijnaldum. Not everyone thought 'fantastic idea', but a lot of other clubs wanted him and we have him". He was five years here.

Coutinho, who joined Liverpool in January 2013, scored 41 goals in 152 Premier League appearances, including seven in 14 matches this season.

"We have to go with open eyes through this transfer window, you can imagine, but we will not make crazy things".

How will Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp ensure that doesn't happen?

Liverpool are reeling from the loss of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, but according to latest reports on Sky Bet, the Reds are favourites ahead of both Manchester United and Barcelona to complete the signing of Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann. He also added that representing the Reds was of great honour and wished them all the best. If you react to the things they do, you will lose.

He has chipped in with five goals and three assists in 17 league outings for his club this term. Alberto Moreno (ankle) and Daniel Sturridge (muscular) are back in full training, while Jordan Henderson continues with his recovery from a hamstring issue. If nothing happens in this moment Mo is back.

'I'd be surprised if they replaced him [Coutinho] in this window, ' Shearer told bookmaker Coral.
