New Xiaomi phones with Snapdragon 710 SoC leaked online

12 Abril 2018

Also, the fact that Xiaomi had launched the Mi Max 2 in May last year hints that it's about time the next-generation Mi Max could be unveiled, most probably in the coming weeks.

The leaked TPU case for the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 indicates patterns for a back fingerprint scanner at the centre, simply like what we've seen in its ancestor. But the interesting bit is the cut-out for a vertically positioned dual-camera setup just above it toward the left corner of the case.

The battery capacity of the Mi 6X is said to be 2910mAh.

The case renders were shared by Android Hits, confirming a bunch of features which we already knew from the previous Xiaomi Mi Max 3 leaks.

Besides, on the best piece of the TPU case, we can see an opening for a 3.5mm sound jack, a little opening for an optional mic and what has all the earmarks of being an opening for the IR blaster at the centre.

The bottom edge of the case reveals two cutouts for the loudspeaker and a cutout in the middle for the I/O port. We cannot confirm the charging port to be a Type-C or a traditional microUSB by looking at the cutout. Under its hood, the smartphone is likely to make use of a 2.2GHz octa-core processor. In the meantime, a recent post on the company's official Weibo account has confirmed that it will host a press conference on April 25. It uncovers that the Mi Max 3 accompanies a dual camera setup, a back mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5-mm sound jack, an IR blaster, base terminating speakers and USB Type-C connectivity. Two Xiaomi devices carrying the codenames 'Sirius' and 'Comet' have been found in the documents.

Following the announcement of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 700 series last month, a report has claimed that one of the processors in the lineup - the Snapdragon 710 - is essentially a rebrand of an unannounced chip previously rumored as the Snapdragon 670. Pricing details of the upcoming smartphone, however, remain unclear at this point.

As per the TENAA listing, the Xiaomi Mi 6X will be arriving a 5.99-inch display with FHD+ resolution and 18:9 screen aspect ratio.
